I am back on the hunt for a publisher and/or agent. Where the heck are the Deadlies when you need them? Wish I had some of their investigative skills right now. Riot would charm them. Demon would...well, on second thought perhaps Riot would be the better choice :D Demon, as Bane would put it, is not known for his patience.
So, I began my exhaustive search for an agent/publisher with a guide book (thank you, Jeff Herman!) with listings of both. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be many agents who will represent those of us who write fantasy. One agent actually stated "And no space porn! (yes, it is a genre!)" I laughed. Jim was confused. "Space porn? What the hell is space porn?" We speculated on what this might mean and agreed that it was probably not something that a lot of agents would consider representing. I admitted that I could not find even ONE agent in my guide book who stated that he or she would represent a writer of space porn! LOL
On the plus side I have so far found 10 possibilities for agents who will represent fantasy writers and I am on the S's in the listings. Not very many but 10 is better than none. I wonder what the writers of space porn will do???
