Word On the Street

Well, I went to Kitchener's 10th annual Word on the Street Festival and thoroughly enjoyed the day (thanks to everyone in Kitchener, Stacy Toole and the Special Events Staff.) Met some other authors who were very helpful and friendly. Linda Blum has written a couple of murder mysteries and if you like Janet Evanovich you will probably like Linda. I shared a booth with a lovely young lady, Tabitha Anderson, who is a new author with a brand new book called MONAD, a paranormal/metaphysical mystery-check it out! I introduced a quite few nice (and enthusiastic) people to the Deadlies and most were interested...well, come on... vampires, daemons, executions, hot guys...who wouldn't be? :)
One lovely gentleman was hesitating about whether he would buy Definitely Deadly. I was doing my sales pitch and decided to tell him that many of my readers were male and, in fact, a couple of guys that my husband works with bought books. I told him that one co-worker told Jim, "The book is really very good...but your wife is warped!"
The gentleman laughed when I told him the story and said, "Well, you can't get a higher compliment than that!"
"Yeah, it doesn't get much better, huh?" I said.
He bought a book.
