The final edit of Definitely Deadly caused a ripple effect throughout the other four books and so there are some rewrites to be done. I thought that they would be minor changes... deleting characters that were dropped in DD and giving their scenes and lines to other characters... that sort of thing. Then I began the rewrite on Bane's story and he surprised me by taking his part of the story in a different direction than I anticipated. It isn't a bad thing and the story remains the same in general, but I am discovering that where I think the story is going is not necessarily where he thinks it is going. Is this normal behaviour for a fictional character? I hate it when they have minds of their own! LOL
On the plus side, Bane has discovered a way to bring one of the characters back that I was sad to lose. Yes, Toady is back and ready to be the pain in the ass he was meant to be! Let the games begin indeed...
