So I have been working hard on the second book which, though finished, needs some editing. As I mentioned before Bane has his own ideas about where the book should go and I edited it to that point and I know that I am nowhere near being totally satisfied. This means I will edit it a few thousand more times until I get it where I want it and then once I'm happy with it, someone will tell me I need to do it again (whether it is Bane or a publisher, doesn't matter) However, I think I am going to finish reading it from this point (page 127) and see what happens and where it goes and if I have any other inspirations. This is what has happened all of the other books. In fact, the fifth book (not part of the series but still "of" the series) has two different versions. I am still trying to decide which will be "the one." There is always a chance that neither of them will be the end product. It is amazing how what you start with is not what you end with.
The Deadlies began as fallen angels and have become daemons. They started off with Fechin being Lust and Lust being Wrath. So Riot as Wrath (under a different name which I have since forgotten) and Morgana (then Sarah) were the twins. Bane's character was an older man who was a pain in the patoot. Onyx was Demon's brother (only Demon had a different name at the time and so did Onyx). Kaz and Dev are the only two characters who never changed.
I had to smile this week when a friend from work wanted to know who tells the second book. I had no trouble telling her that it was Bane, but the look on her face said it all. She wanted it to be Demon. LOL
I told her that he would tell her everything she wanted to know...in the fourth book. You should have heard the groans. I think I enjoyed that way too much. :)
